About the role
We need a technical artist to bridge our art and engineering teams - own performance, shaders, and the entire art pipeline for GEAR. This role is currently a complete gap and high-leverage from day one: you'll define the budgets and tooling that the whole art team works within.

This is the single most important role on the engineering team - your work decides whether players feel the game or feel the lag.

- Maintain and extend the FastAPI bot gateway.
- Run load tests for full 60-player matches across our three launch regions and tune accordingly.
- Own network performance budgets and the overall multiplayer build health.
